Came here at the weekend for the first time with a dog we were looking after. Very accommodating for dogs, plenty of tables outside and lots of drinking water bowls. The location is beautiful, right next to Currumbin Creek and it's really a perfect cafe location for people walking their dogs. The food was ok, but it was really over priced for the quality. Yes, all of the Gold Coast is overpriced but in some places, the quality of the food is better than here. At the weekend, Dune is very popular, so gets very busy and that can sometimes affect the quality of the food that has to be pushed out to meet demand. The coffee and fruit juice we also had, were good and I'd still come back here, purely for the ideal dog-friendly location.
This was perfect for our early breakfast with a toddler - open at 6am, excellent playground nearby and the creek/beach, public toilets and parking was easy. We had the Dune big breakfast and the porridge, plus our coffees and were not disappointed. Loved watching all the happy dogs come and go to the dog beach and saying hello to the koala statue, but yes, do watch out for the cheeky birds.
Had a lovely late lunch here and it did not disappoint. First time in the area and this cafe was like my dream come true. Great if you love dogs and enjoy a nice view while you dine. The food, coffee and hot chocolate were delicious and the service was friendly
Servers were lovely, a bit pricey, but the food was tasty! I struggled a little with the lighting, the flashing of the lights through the fan blades was a bit disorienting, but that was minor! The food and coffee was so good!
Some areas are dog friendly. The birds have taken over because of the food left of tables and people feeding them. An irritating recording of a bird chip plays day and night...it is testing for your sanity, the birds don't mind it. Lol. Great location, friendly staff, good Cafe food. Coffee is a 4/5 and the best in the area.
Beautiful cafe. Quick stop here whilst visiting the creek. Highly recommend if you're in the area and in need of refreshments.
